ULTRASONIC THICKNESS TESTING (UTT)

In UTT ultrasonic thickness testing, the thickness of the tested element isdetermined based on the measurement of the time it takes for an ultrasonic wave emitted from the transducer to pass through the material thickness.

Thanks to this, we can determine the thickness of the tested element, which is particularly important in the case of many worn-out structures, especially those highly exposed to corrosion.

The research laboratory uses high-class Olympus equipment.
The NAFTO Non-Destructive Testing Laboratory is accredited to the PN EN ISO 16809:2019-08 standard related to ultrasonic thickness testing issued by the Polish Center for Accreditation.
